Spielberg rules!

i woke up this morning feeling a little under the weather so i didn't go into work. i then realized how boring it was...and then a certain someone suggested i make a Spielberg day of it, so i put in Saving Private Ryan. This is a beautifully shot movie and as i watched it, i realized something...Spielberg tends to sometimes put in multiple master shots in 1 scene, rather then always showing close ups. It does something so simple but effective...it shows the audience where the characters are in relation to each other and the setting. It can tell us who a character is talking to or what he is looking at so the audience has an easier time understanding whats goin on in the moment as well as concentrate more on the story. It also lets the audience choose who they want to look at. Anyways, i thought i'd share some of my favorite shots from the film. ENJOY!

as promised, here are the concepts i had taken down from an earlier post, i went back and added a fat watermark..."PROPERTY OF CRAZY PIXEL PROD."

dialogue test

this was a dialogue test done at work for a project. theres a few animation fixes i would want to change but overall, for how short of a time i spent on it, it will do.
